M client is seeking a Data Analytics Strategy Architect to join their team to work across a new program of work to implement a new Digital Platform Practice. The Data Analytics Strategy Architect will work with a range of stakeholders to develop, evaluate and socialise architecture options in a highly complex and time sensitive environment, in line with the business strategy and enterprise architecture.
The architect will bring innovative ideas and approaches to the organisation, utilising the latest Business Intelligence platforms and technology, to enable greater customer service and align with better practice principles. The ideal candidate will have experience in numerous Business Intelligence capabilities, including Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT, ODS, Big Data, Advanced Analytics, Predictive Analytics and BI Reporting.
Key accountabilities:
- Perform architecture design, data modelling and governance input into Data Warehouse, Big Data, and Analytic application solutions.
- Evangelise central architecture design principles, frameworks, governance and policy with internal stakeholders and external delivery teams.
- Develop highly scalable and extensible Big Data platforms which enable collection, storage, modelling and analysis of massive data sets.
- Work with key stakeholders to identify and evaluate proposed solutions to fulfil business requirements
- Document architectural solutions with an objective approach to comparing options before providing recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Manage risks in projects by providing mitigation options and design approaches.
- Provide guidance and direction to project teams on technical issues that may impact the solution and its implementation, and provide implementation assistance on an as-needed basis
Essential skills and experience:
- 10+ years working as an Architect with extensive experience with Business Intelligence, Data warehousing, Big Data and Reporting.
- Experience with Data Warehousing and Big Data Technologies like Spark, Hadoop, Kafka and Cassandra.
- Experience with Reporting Tools such as Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, or SAP.
- Experience with Cloud, On Premise and Hybrid technology platforms.
- Experience in large sized Big Data and Advanced analytics projects in the capacity of a Solution / Technical Architect.
- Ability to architect across Big Data and Advanced Analytics ecosystem - such as ETL platforms, visualisation and Advanced analytics tools.
- Experience with Agile methodology would be desirable.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
