About the role

Technical Business Analyst/Senior Business Analyst is a techno-functional role with ability to develop and configure software product solution for our Customers across Australia and New Zealand.

The primary role of a Business Analyst is to engage with Insurance companies, Underwriting agencies and Brokers to understand and clearly document distribution, automation, policy administration, product pricing, underwriting, document generation and business workflow requirements. BA’s need to demonstrate a clear understanding of products, specifically within the context of distribution and automation within the insurance industry and have an ability to translate these into clear and logical defined business goals or in some cases specification artefacts for configuration into a cloud-based insurance platform. BA’s are expected to have very strong problem solving and analytical capabilities coupled with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. The BA will then manage the implementation and configuration of insurance products within the platform with end result of web-based offerings being available to insurers and their distributors / customers. It is very much a hands-on role, bypassing the need for software developers, by fully embracing agile implementation of traditionally complex enterprise level solutions.

In addition, BA’s will contribute to relationship management of eBaoTech customers and a communication bridge between the customer and eBaoTech’s internal teams to ensure that client’s requirements are considered in future feature roadmaps. 

Position

The key responsibilities of this role include:

• Analyse data relationships and dependencies, business processes and communication for mapping into current system requirements
• Interpret customer & business needs into business requirements
• Analysis and design of Insurance Product configuration using Collaborus Cloud platform
• Implement and configure the agreed business requirements within the Collaborus Cloud platform
• Ensure the project scope and priorities are managed in collaboration with the Project Manager
• Analyse complex business problems and provide recommendations on solutions
• Build relationships across the business and engage with stakeholders

About You

You will have at a minimum:

• At least 5 years combined experience in either Information Technology, Consulting, Insurance Industry or Financial Services
• At least 3 years combined experience as a Business Analyst covering business process analysis, specification writing, documentation, application implementation and configuration
• Sound knowledge and experience within a general/commercial insurance product or ‎technical underwriting environment (preferred)
• Application development, implementation, configuration and testing experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced skills in the use analytical and communication tools such as MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint and SharePoint
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Quality orientation and attention to detail
