An exceptional opportunity has become available for a Platform Lead to join our team located in Sydney. In this role you will manage the IT delivery for assigned platforms and platform components, provide application development, configuration, testing and support services for assigned platforms as well as manage the day-to-day relationships with Application Development and Maintenance (ADM) Managed Service Providers and other platform vendors/partners.

The opportunity

  • Develop and manage direct relationships with business and IT subject matter experts and relationship managers to ensure business solutions align with identified goals and priorities
  • Serve as the primary liaison with Application Development and Maintenance Managed Service Providers, Infrastructure and other third party platform service providers/vendors to meet service level agreements and delivery commitments
  • Facilitate group and application review meetings around technical design, decision-making and problem solving to ensure quality solutions and services are delivered
  • Collaborate with vendors for packaged/purchased applications to manage the platform life cycle for patch management and security reviews to minimize risk for the organization
  • Execute the release management process for delivering maintenance and enhancement requests delivered as part of a platform release; manage releases within annual budget
  • Accountable for ensuring adherence to disaster recovery policy; responsible for ensuring technical recovery plans (TRPs) are in place and for participating in disaster recovery exercises
  • Manage a performance enhancement culture by actively coaching and mentoring direct reports, providing regular feedback and developing employees for wider roles and responsibilities to foster professional growth and development
  • Manage budgeted resources by anticipating expenditures, accurately forecasting resource needs/costs and properly accounting for expenses to meet requirements and achieve fiscal responsibility
  • Create a positive environment by modeling cultural expectations and guiding leaders to reward performance and value "can do" people, accountability, diversity and inclusion, flexibility, continuous improvement, collaboration, creativity and fun
