You will play an integral role in delivering business benefits as part of the Big Data program of work.  

As part of a team environment with the opportunity to gain exposure on a range of projects, you will be responsible for

• Preparing data design ideas through a combination of data sources, analytical techniques and insight generation
• Identifying and analysing data sets from multiple sources utilising data tools and techniques to resolve business problems
• Liaising with data scientists and analysts to manage the impact of data quality issues and develop enterprise best practice for data experimentation
• Building relationships with stakeholders to develop ideas from concept design to solution

To secure this opportunity, you will need:

• Experience orchestrating both batch and stream-based big data pipelines using tools such as Spark, Kafka, Beam, Flink, etc.
• Experience with multiple programming languages, preferably a statically typed language such as Java, C or Scala, and a dynamically typed language such as Python
• Knowledge of computer science, engineering and mathematical analysis to develop, test and evaluate software, systems and computers/compute nodes.
• Experience in advanced mathematical algorithms to efficiently process large amounts of data
• Strong foundation in computer systems and system interoperability (example – Generic Compute/Apache Kafka/Apache Nifi Cluster in sequence/mesh network)
• Strong understanding of the inner workings of the Radio Access Network and LTE network
• Strong mathematical foundation grounded in the ability to extract key knowledge from extensive study of Mathematical Literature
• Ability to understand data transformation in the Telecommunications industry (eg. Telephony Binary Coded Decimals)
• Firm understanding of applied mathematics, specifically discrete and computational algebra.
