We are looking for a delivery focussed PMO Manager with experience working in fast-paced environments to join a large program of work, across 5 different streams, within the insurance industry.
This is an initial contract until the end of the year with high likelihood to extend as this is a 3 year project.
We are looking for someone who has experience establishing delivery frameworks and processes as well as governance frameworks and procedures. You should have experience across delivery and governance and understand the project management delivery lifecycle well, including stage gates and milestones. You will also be mentoring and coaching the Project Managers through the delivery.
You will be supporting the Portfolio Lead so you will be expected to deliver weekly status reports, monthly portfolio reports and the facilitation of workshops. You will also create the project plan and manage dependencies in a fast paced environment.
To be considered for this role you must have experience working and delivering in fast paced projects. We are looking for candidates with corporate experience over government and a holistic approach to their work. You should also have extensive experience reporting into senior stakeholders and exec level management.
Required experience:
- Experience as a PMO Manager with hands on experience as a delivery focussed Project Manager
- Experience across delivery and governance, so perhaps having working in a delivery focussed PMO
- Experience setting up governance procedures
- Experience in coaching and mentoring other PMs
- Extensive reporting experience - weekly, monthly and exec level
- Workshop schedules and project plan creation
- Experience across large scale transformations which are fast paced
- Knowledge of PMBOK, Prince2, LEAN is preferred
- Great communication skills
- Insurance industry knowledge preferred but not essential
- Happy to be very hands on and the point of contact across the program
