Randstad is on the lookout for an Information Management Officer to provide operational support for the management of documents, data and information across corporate and technical records. This includes a range of systems, procedural and administrative activities as directed by the Information Manager and in compliance with Government and the client’s Records Management Policy and Guidelines.

As part of the Office Management team, this role may also be called upon to provide support to other customer service and business operations as required at the request of either the Information Manager or Office Manager.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide a range of administrative and information management support services across training, user acceptance testing and analysis requirements and related coordination to assist in the implementation of SMDO systems
  • Assist in the administration of TeamBinder through an agile project methodology to support technical record and information management specific to the SMDO program
  • Provide a range of transition support services and activities across database, documentation and structure development, analysis, assessments and data migration to assist in the transitioning of systems to the client’s mandated corporate records management system
  • Provide Information Management guidance and support to project staff at all levels to assist with information management-related administrative tasks, as well as a range of ad-hoc support activities that may be requested by the Information Manager
  • When requested, provide general support activities including: word processing, spread sheets, photocopying, diary management, as well as undertake the delivery of basic user training and support of new starters
  • Maintaining knowledge of Government records policy, procedure and process and applying these for corporate and technical record management in a multi disciplinary and mixed engagement project environment
  • Working effectively in a rapidly changing work environment and building rapport with areas within the Delivery Office
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively according to operational impact and to achieve project milestones

To succeed in this role you have:

  • High level demonstrated experience in using electronic document management system/s and understanding of corporate and technical record types
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of technology relevant to the work unit, and identify and select the most appropriate technology for assigned tasks
  • Be able to Identify opportunities to use a broad range of communications technologies to deliver effective messages
  • Understand, act on and monitor compliance with information and communications security and use policies
  • Identify ways to leverage the value of technology to achieve team/unit outcomes, using the existing technology of the business
  • Past experience support compliance with the records, information and knowledge management requirements of the organisation
  • Degree in information or computer science
