About The Role

NTT ICT is looking for a proactive individual with a strong interest and understanding in IT. This role will be suitable for individuals with exceptional customer service skills and an IT degree.

This is an exciting position which would suit a motivated self-starter, looking to join a technically minded team.

We aren't worried about your work experience, we are focused on finding technically minded, motivated self-starters with excellent communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure and the grunt to put in the hard work needed to learn and grow within our company.

About You

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and work well under stress to allow them to support all our company employees and external customers on a national basis.

You will want a varied lifestyle and the experience, or are willing to operate under a rotating shift roster - Two days 7am-7pm, two nights 7pm-7am, followed by 4 days off.

You will have a passion to work with leading products and services within the ICT industry and want a career that is surrounded by these leading edge technologies.

About the Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Respond to customer requests
  • Undertake triage on customer issues and undertake first level trouble shooting of IT infrastructure
  • Mange and escalate customer incidents
  • Explain to customers how to best use the portal so customers can self-serve
  • Undertake remote hands, rack and stack activities safely
  • Undertake tape backup maintenance and management activities
  • Securely maintain customer technical and service information
  • Provide shift handover reports

About Your Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess a degree in IT and will have the following key skills and experience: 

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong interest and understanding in IT
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be a proactive and driven self-starter
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to work well both autonomously and as a part of a team
  • Have the ability to manage conflict effectively
