Primary Health Care Limited is committed to providing affordable, accessible and comprehensive healthcare for all Australians.  Within the Information Technology division an opportunity now exists for a Solution Architect who will accountable for the creation of technology design and architecture artefacts.

This role will be tasked with:

• Providing input into the technology strategy and future operational/capital plans around integration solutions and ensure suitable governance around the definition and management of integration services to ensure these strategies and plans are implemented.
• Developing and maintaining technology strategies, standards and methodologies and associated design and solutions.
• Producing well defined, well documented, viable, and cost effective solution architectures aligned to stakeholder requirements and enterprise architecture within the agreed deliverable timelines.
• Maintaining information around solution designs and integration components within IT for all data transfers between internal and external systems.
• Ensuring that technical reference architectures and patterns are applied appropriately in domains including enterprise application integration, enterprise web portal, information management, service-oriented architecture and the application portfolio.
• Provide advice and guidance to reviews and decisions made at the IT Architecture Council and participate in the Design Review Group (DRG).
• Participate as an active member of the Design Review Group and present architecture decisions to the IT Architecture Council for determination or endorsement as required.

Suitable candidates will possess:

• At least 5 years’ experience on Cisco Networking Devices(Nexus/ISE/FirePower), Network and Security Architecture with at least 2 years’ experience in the Health Industry.
• Strong understanding of Cloud Architecture and architecture patterns.
• Systems and Database experience including Redhat Linux, CentOS, Postgres, Oracle.
• Network Technology Domains - IP Routing and Switching, MPLS (L3 and L2 VPN), IPSec / SSL VPN, Voice over IP, WiFi Services including advanced knowledge of Cisco, F5, Palo Alto, Nutanix platforms and VMWare,
• Strong understanding of Fibre/Ethernet, TCP, UDP, BGP, OSPF, 802.1x.
• Experience working with Risk and Compliance teams, related regulation and legislative requirements.
• Proven experience with architecting solutions across multiple areas: Firewalls, Proxies, Content Filters, IDS/IPS, Anti-Malware, Data Loss Detection and Prevention, Endpoint Detect and Respond Technologies, SIEM, SDN, NAC, WAP/WLC, AAA systems.
• End-to-End Architecture and Design experience with Large Scale Data Centre Implementations.
• Previous experience working in a security engineering and/or security incident response function before transitioning into the design and architecture role.
• Strong understanding of solution architecture, enterprise architecture frameworks, reference architectures, information and communication technologies, and business application patterns
• Strong understanding of technology strategy, architecture and technology governance requirement as well development of solution architecture documentation.
• TOGAF 9, CCNP R&S certification (CCIE  Preferred)
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in information technology, business or computer science.
