Communications Architect
 
An extremely exciting opportunity to join a Dunedin (South Island, New zealand) based team and take responsibility for communications in a SCADA based system in the energy sector.
 
You will already be thinking about where communications technologies are heading. You will have been thinking about the flood of applications that will hit the market as IIoT matures and becomes ubiquitous.
 
You will already be thinking about the implications on customer expectations, on demand, the security implications of this growth, and about how communication systems will need to look in the future to meet these demands.
 
You are already thinking about how current communications technologies are likely to merge and morph, and thinking about how to architect for this disruption.
 
You will be responsible for ensuring the Operational Technology systems and their communications are defined, designed, applied and supported such that their electricity network can be effectively and safely monitored, operated, managed and controlled.
 
You will have the necessary background experience and qualifications to perform such a role, and you will have the right to work in New Zealand.
 
You will have a strong background in communications, as well as experience in OT and SCADA systems.
 
A competitive remuneration package will be agreed with the successful candidate.
