We seek a passionate, customer first focused Product Owner who loves, owns and cares about the experience and services Boral provides. Our team promotes an experimental, fail fast environment and encourages individuals with a deep desire to drive progress and deliver tangible outcomes.
As our Product Owner - Network, Telecommunications and Data Centre Services, you will deliver and manage the digital solutions and associated processes required to enable Boral Australia to lead in the market. Customer service, stakeholder management and cross functional influence are critical in this role as the PO is responsible for Boral realising the tangible and intangible benefits from its technical foundations.
Your success will be defined by
- Promote and educate on the vision creating a bias for action to deliver the Vision
- Bring in good practices from industry, customers, business and IT, analytics, competitor analysis and research groups
- Effective line management to your team including clear performance objectives, manage dependencies between cross-functional agile teams and upskilling via sharing product knowledge
- Ownership for sustainably delivering the highest value product changes
- Implement an agile delivery approach in 100% of project/change work
- Rapidly deliver the roadmap of customer foundation technology changes
- Ownership for proving stable and operational foundation technologies to the customer including ownership of operational technical support and incident resolution
- Influence into Boral business and customers to advocate for continuous streamlining and efficiency
Seniority of the role requires building collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and creating compelling, appealing vision for the Product and Digital Experience to our customers - this will be part of your charm!
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
- Experience in a senior role involving strategy, delivery and customer management
- Experience of working in an agile organisation
- Strong Commercial and Technical acumen
- Demonstrable experience of building trust with customers and seeking out first hand customer experience information to drive improvements
- Success at influencing and leading including influencing individuals that you do not directly have oversight of
- Experience and ability to manage the Total Cost of Ownership as to balance and articulate long term strategic thinking and short term tactical planning
- Focus on the Customer first and relish the challenge of understanding people
