About the role:

The Service Manager is responsible for the everyday experience Metcash employees have with the IT support teams, and is required to coordinate & manage all aspects of Metcash IT Systems and application environment to ensure exceptional service quality to the end user is maintained.  The Service Manger is also responsible for the Operational management of Vendors who support Metcash IT, and ensure Services are delivered in alignment with Metcash process.This is an excellent opportunity to establish yourself with a company that prides itself on innovation and technology. What You’ll do:

Your role is primarily responsible for providing operational management of services that includes process adherence, performance reporting, Supplier and Customer Engagement and communication of agreed Operational Service Improvement actions. You will be responsible to manage and Improve the Services Process, including;

  • Coordinating CAB, Emergency Changes and communication within IT
  • Tracking and coordinating the analysis of problems within the IT environment
  • Managing the delivery of Post Incident/Change Reviews as required.
  • Reporting and tracking against the completeness and Accuracy of the CMDB incl Software Asset Management
  • Providing cost effective management of the IT services supported by Suppliers.
  • Collation of Vendor reporting obligations and production of required IT weekly, Monthly and quarterly Service and service availability Reports

What you’ll bring:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar environment.
  • Degree or equivalent in an IT discipline
  • Certification in ITIL framework
  • Subject Matter expertise in IT Service Management processes
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge and experience of contemporary industry trends service management design and execution.
  • Experience providing best practice in IT Customer Service to internal stakeholders within a large, complex 24x7 operation.
  • Strong awareness and understanding of hardware, Operating Systems, security, software technologies and applications.
