This role is offered on a 12 month contract basis.

About the role

The Network & Comms Specialist will work in the Technology Operations team to ensure optimum availability of all network and communication services, and effectively support the systems under your control. 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Management and support to the firm’s data and voice networks, and IP telephony platform
  • Management and support to the firm’s audio and video conferencing, and collaboration systems
  • Management and support to the firm’s switchboard and contact centre platforms
  • Responding to critical situations to restore services quickly and help facilitate post incident reviews after major incidents
  • Provision of third level technical support and act as escalation point for faults or complaints to ensure incidents are dealt with effectively and fairly
  • Ensuring upgrades and enhancements are properly planned and implemented
  • Role modelling expected standards of behaviour and act in the best interests of the team and the firm

 

What experience are we looking for?

 

  • Relevant industry experience with 5 or more years concentrating on network and communications technologies
  • Experience implementing and supporting Cisco networks across multiple sites and geographies
  • Experience implementing and supporting Cisco Unified Communications Manager
  • Experience supporting auxiliary voice systems including Cisco Unity Voicemail, Cisco Contact Centre Express and Arc Switchboard
  • Experience supporting Cisco Video Conferencing systems and integrating with cloud video conferencing systems such as Zoom or Blue Jeans
  • Knowledge of Network Security principles and Firewall support
  • Knowledge of WAN routing protocols and WAN Acceleration technologies
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex problems and to think outside the box
