Your new role
Our Telecommunications Technicians are capable and experienced at operating in the harshest of Australian environmental conditions and understand the necessity of quality workmanship and robust ruggedised solutions that last, while always working safely.
Telecommunications Technicians will install, maintain, program and fault find a variety of wired and wireless communication technologies, antennas, power supplies and devices to industry standards.
About You
To be successful, you will possess the following, or be working towards:
- Cert III in Telecommunications Technology (ICT30515) or equivalent
- ACMA OPEN License (including structured, coaxial, optic fibre endorsements)
- RIIWHS204D Working at Heights (high risk license with EWP over 11m)
- RIIERR205D Apply initial response first aid (or higher certificate)
- Current Australian manual C class drivers licence
The following are highly regarded:
- Being resident in Mackay, Townsville, or Rockhampton – or being prepared to relocate to one of these locations
- 2 years mining or resources experience in a rostered environment
- Current Standard 11/ General Induction
- Current Coal board medical
- Wireless Mesh install and maintenance especially in ABB Wireless TropOS and Rajant Wireless
- 2-way digital radio experience (install and maintenance) Tetra, DMR, P25
