Opportunity to join an outgoing team within a market leading organisation based in south Gold Coast.
Your new company
A market leading software development company is seeking a dedicated Systems Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
You will be supporting the company’s wide range of enterprise infrastructure, managing a mix of different enterprise technologies, with an emphasis on PCI compliance. Your role involves monitoring system health and performance, ensuring high levels of performance, availability and security.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Protecting system boundaries
- Ensure computer systems and devices are hardened against attacks
- Securing highly sensitive data
- Managing the SQL Server Database
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a talented systems administrator or engineer with hands on experience with database and operating system security. You will have the following skills:
- MS SQL DBA
- Managing backups and server patching
- Strong scripting, either PowerShell or Python
- Experience in the hardening process of operating systems
You will have solid networking skills, including firewall, router and switching experience.
You must have an understanding of security principles, protocols and techniques. Direct experience working in a PCIDSS environment is very highly regarded, as is holding a relevant degrees and/or certifications.
