This impressive multinational technology trailblazer is delivering the next generation of broadcast media innovation encompassing sophisticated Set Top Box, IPTV, DVB and residential gateway platforms. They are investing heavily in their Australia & New Zealand practice and are subsequently looking to bolster their Sydney team with a proven Software Test Engineer who possesses strong experience in software testing for IP networks, real time embedded systems  / consumer electronics and demonstrable expertise with various scripting languages.
 
The Software Test Engineer will enjoy full SDLC project exposure with a focus upon the provision of robust quality assurance processes and methodologies within a compact, high performance software and systems team. You will bring to the table tertiary qualifications within software engineering or computer science, familiarity with both manual and automated testing tools, understanding of IP  networking from a software perspective, scripting skills (Python, Perl, Shell, TCL etc.), an appreciation of various programming languages as well as superior team interaction and communication skills. Specific background supporting broadcast technologies would be ideal.
 
The Software Test Engineer will be a confident, autonomous and successful technologist with the ability to liaise with a range of internal, vendor and customer stakeholders. You will enjoy long term engagement within an empowered software team (which forms part of a global group); working on blue chip, next generation platforms. You will enjoy the support and mentorship of a smart, highly accomplished manager. An initial contract tenure will provide the platform for long term engagement and/or permanent conversion for the successful professional.
