Our client, a respected government agency, has an excellent opportunity for a capable individual to join the tech support team. The purpose of the position is to assist in the rollout and deployment of a range of user computer devices across different sites and assist with diagnosis and resolution of technical issues.

This will include:

<li>Physically installing basic network devices and connecting them and laptops to power, under direction. 
<li>Following a checklist to verify a laptop device's readiness for upgrade 
<li>Rectifying minor issues with laptop setup when connecting them for upgrade, as per checklist 
<li>Verifying software status first thing next morning after upgrade, as per checklist 
<li>Reporting issues to a project team and assisting with troubleshooting 
<li>Installing and downloading appropriate software 
<li>Responding to inquiries about software and hardware problems 
<li>Liaising with customers onsite, to address software concerns
 
There will be a team of rollout techs to assist at multiple sites across the ACT. The work will involve:

<li>Accurately report errors seen on device screens back to a central area.
• Plugging devices in to the power and network and verifying a laptop system is ready to be upgraded.
• Checking that it has kicked off and not stalled in the upgrade

You will need to be able to organise your own travel across up to 80 sites across the ACT after 14:00 PM and before 07:30 AM, 18 times a month for 3 months. You do not need to be security cleared however will need to be able to be ACT Government baseline cleared (only takes three days) and be able to pass a police check for working in schools.
