Solution Architect
12 month Contract possible extension
Location - Canberra CBD
Security Clearance - Baseline preferred or be willing to be put through

The government are seeking a Solution Architect to join them on a 1 year contract (possibility of extension) on a range of projects. The department are responsible for the development of service delivery policy and provide access to social, health and other payments and services.
The successful candidate will be involved with architectural evaluation, design and analysis of enterprise wide systems; and the development and implementation of solutions. Although a technical position, you will NOT be expected to carry out any hands on technical work. This position is suited for someone who has a high level knowledge of a number of tehcnologies and primary focus is advice and guidance.
Essential skills and experience
- Proven experience in delivering high quality, well-structured communication that is fit-for-purpose
- Undertake objective, critical analysis to draw accurate conclusions that recognise and manage contextual issues
- Demonstrated ability to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver results that align with the organisation’s priorities and direction
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information and designs; including the ability to interpret, analyse and present this
- Adapts communication to the knowledge, experience and expectations of the audience
- Demonstrated experience in problem solving, analytical and conceptual skills to manage competing priorities
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including experience in negotiating with senior stakeholders
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff across geographically dispersed teams and organisations
Nice-to-have skills and experience
- Understanding and/or experience working within an agile management environment and working across organisational boundaries and physical locations to deliver services and project outcomes.
- Excellent organisation, analysis and communication skills
