Job Details:
Extel Technologies has been designing and manufacturing electronics products across a range of industries since 1991.
Growth in the electronics Design and Development business, which develops rapid prototypes of innovative new products, has created a unique opportunity for an experienced Embedded Firmware Engineer to join the team at our Mt Waverley Product Innovation Facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop embedded firmware for IoT, medical and industrial electronics products
- Develop and maintain all required documentation across the SDLC.
Skills and Experience
- Fluent in C/C++ for embedded systems
- Hardware design experience highly desirable
- Experience across multiple microprocessor architectures
- Low power embedded microcontroller design
- Knowledge of various protocols (I2C, SPI, USB, UART, BLE)
- Excellent problems solving skills--Its not the hardware!
- Source control systems (SVN)
- Must be well organised and professional
- Must have good technical writing skills
- Experience in medical regulatory requirements ISO13485
- Experience in Quality Assured organisations (ISO9001)
Qualifications & Training
- Tertiary qualified in Electronics and/or Computer Science
- Must be eligible to work in Australia
You will have a very high attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Also, you will be able to exercise sound judgment to determine appropriate action within defined procedures and practices.
