We are seeking SEVERAL Senior Java Developers for long term contracts. The initial contract period will be until June 30th 2019 with 2 x Extension Options of 12 MONTHS

YOUR DUTIES:

• Design, develop, unit test, implement and maintain Java systems and services
• Design and develop complex technical solutions that meet business needs, design specifications, industry standards, agreed service levels, departmental policies, procedures and corporate objectives such as enterprise architecture artefacts
• Work with departmental methodologies (e.g. project, service, release and change management) to maintain and support existing capabilities and develop new functions and capabilities
• Troubleshoot and remediate system incidents, problems and defects 
• Develop, maintain and unit test system components
• Provide technical advice and support to testers, business analysts, enterprise architects and other various stakeholders; Reviewing the solution architecture and technical designs of existing, new, and upcoming applications

The Must Haves:

• 5+ years’ experience working with one or more of the following Java technologies such as JEE, Servlets and JSP/JSF, EJB & EJB3, JPA, Struts, Spring, SOAP and Web Services;
• Experience with designing, developing, supporting and maintaining capabilities in large complex ICT environments
• Extensive technical expertise as a senior developer working in production environments and projects with waterfall or agile methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to quickly gain knowledge of other open source and COTS products/technologies
• Demonstrated analysis, design and development skills
• Ability to work as a member of a development team and with business areas
• Ability to work autonomously and to provide technical expertise
• Good understanding of SDLC, release management, ICT change management and software development processes; Proven experience with prioritising, scheduling, monitoring and reporting
• Excellent communication and decision making skills;
• Experience with building and maintaining effective relationships
• Ability to deal with complex situations under pressure
• Possess effective conflict resolution skills
