One of Australia's most reputable State Government Departments is looking to engage an experienced Network and Systems Engineer to work on the implementation of network architectural solutions that support mission critical departmental services. The successful Network and Systems Engineer will be offered an initial contract until 30 June 2019 with a view to further extend at a fantastic hourly rate.
The successful Network and Systems Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to;
- Delivering of network architectural initiatives arising from business requirements
- Producing operational, functional and technical documents
- Planning, implementing, executing and documenting of network architecture activities
The successful Network and Systems Engineer must have experience in the following;
- Demonstrated experience in the architecture and design of large enterprise networks i.e. MPLS, routing, switching, load balancing, firewall, proxy server etc.
- Expertise working in an enterprise data centre supporting multivendor operating systems
- Experience in the design and configuration of Layer 2 switching infrastructure within large data centre environments
- Knowledge with application switching devices such as enterprise proxy servers and content filters
- Ability to translate requirements into high level architectural designs and low level detailed designs
