Our client is a reputable independent agency that provide community benefits to the Queensland State. Aiming to implement business improvements in the new financial year, recent approvals have allowed for the flourishing of initiatives that will empower the agency and their stakeholders.
Cloud services will be a key area for the agency, and a Cloud Solution Architect is now being sought for the purpose of its clear definition and direction. While the role will initially be a short term contract, further progress with the architecture and deployment model will allow for further extension.
Your duties will entail:
- Complete a technical assessment of the IT environment, informed by the recently-completed IT service catalogue and cloud risk assessment
- Assess suitable cloud services, informed by the previously completed market scan
- Prepare suitable patterns for delivery of IT infrastructure and applications in the Cloud
- Prepare the cloud architecture and target state deployment model.
- Develop clear, concise and achievable transition-in plans for new Cloud services based on the outputs of the above activities.
To succeed you will possess the following:
- Demonstrable experience in and ability to leverage work already completed, and progress a cloud technical assessment of the IT environment
- Demonstrable knowledge of the cloud and infrastructure services market, and ability to leverage the work completed and complete an assessment of cloud services for suitability
- Demonstrable experience in and ability to prepare suitable cloud patterns for delivery of IT infrastructure and applications
- Demonstrable experience in and ability to prepare the cloud architecture and target state deployment model
- Extensive implementation experience delivering on large scale projects that leverage cloud services, designing and integrating with Office 365 and operationalising DevOps lifecycle management
- Demonstrated high level skills in the production of written, verbal and presentation material and ability to communicate with and influence a diverse group of stakeholders
