About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Database Administrator at Dental Health Services Victoria (DHSV). Reporting to the Business Intelligence Team Leader, this role will drive the adoption of data management principles and integrity of our database platforms within a newly established BI team. Possessing solid technical expertise, this role will develop the data management framework and security principles while ensuring optimal platform performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the support, maintenance and integrity of all aspects of database environments and data management.
• Collaborating with the Team Leader, lead the design and planning of database schemas to support applications, data analytics, technologies and security.
• Supporting, administering, optimising and maintaining development of SQL server database environments running on Windows platforms.
• Collaborating with stakeholder groups to maintain a common vision in the way databases are maintained.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Tertiary qualifications in IT or industry equivalent.
• Relevant industry accreditations such as MCDBA.
• Good knowledge of developing code in C#, .Net, VB.Net and PowerShell.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with SQL Server designing and maintaining databases.
