Role –SAP CRM Technical Consultant (ABAP and Web UI)

Title – SAP Application Programmer / Developer

Location – Melbourne, Australia

Eligibility – Australian Citizen

Experience: 5+ Years

Duration: 11 months

Job Overview:

The Developer analyses, develops, enhances, integrates, reviews, tests, maintains, and documents custom components in support of business and technical requirements. The Developer uses their in-depth knowledge to provide technical advice and guidance to less experienced staff. Developers work under the support and general direction of senior staff. They exercise a degree of independent judgement and make decisions within defined parameters that require some reliance on skills and knowledge. The developer undertakes their work in the context of competing priorities and contributes to changes in workplace practices and business improvement strategies.

Key Technical Competencies:(Duties may include some or all of the following)

• Programming and delivery experience using SAP CRM ABAP, with a focus on maintaining data integrity, analysis and integrity and systems integration
• System monitoring and troubleshooting CRM applications
• SAP CRM Web UI programming, WebDynpro, BSP and Fiori/odata
• Protocols and concepts such as HTTP, HTTPS, SSL/TLS, SOAP, COBRA(IIOP), CPIC, RMI, LDAP, DNS, load balancing, session stickiness/affinity, proxies, firewalls, web servers and web rules
• Technical documentation, including designs, task cards, processes and procedures for review by senior staff

Key duties/tasks:

• Provide maintenance and support within the assigned area of responsibility
• Undertake a range of analysis, design, software development, testing and maintenance activities under guidance from senior developers
• Investigation and replication of complex production incidents, ABAP dumps, stack traces, http errors, failed background jobs, bdoc, idocs, etc.
• Under limited guidance adhere to high quality standards in software development
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective and timely resolution of production issues
• Provide advice and support to colleagues with regard to technical aspects of software support, maintenance and development
• Escalate issues as identified and suggest alternative approaches
• Undertake allocated tasks, incidents and problems
• Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant ICT policies and processes and share knowledge with other team members
• Demonstrated experience operating in large scale ICT environments
