About our role
An opportunity has arisen for a SharePoint Team Lead to join the Global Information Services (IS) team. The successful candidate for this position will lead a team of developers and oversee the delivery of SharePoint solutions supporting GHD’s growth as a global organisation.
Core responsibilities include:
• Architect solutions to support the current business needs and identify new technologies that can provide value added solutions to the business
• Oversight of the management of SharePoint systems and infrastructure
• Lead the design, lifecycle management, and total cost of ownership of applications
• Lead and mentor developers on best development approaches and manage team workload and scheduling
• Providing technical ownership and resolution of complex application problems to ensure the availability, integrity, performance and maintainability of GHD’s production application systems.
• Ensuring that new software development or code changes conform to GHD standards and integrate effectively with GHD's existing business systems.
• Maintaining a long-term focus on ensuring high-quality and low-maintenance application software is produced at GHD.
Required skills
As the successful candidate you will possess:
• Excellent leadership, communication and facilitation skills
• Strong understanding of SharePoint Online, 2016, 2013 and SQL Server 2012 Hands on experience developing and utilizing SharePoint components including, forms, templates, external lists, external content types, custom lists, BCS, service applications, web parts, master pages, content types and content management
• Hands on experience building advanced web applications (preferable .NET with C#), including developing Web Services
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of SharePoint APIs and architecture including experience with SharePoint web services 2013 API
• Strong written (documentation) and verbal (presentation) skills
Minimal qualifications/experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 5+ years in design, implementation and administration of the SharePoint platform
• Sound leadership experience managing teams across multiple locations
• Previous experience in managing projects
• Sound experience with large global SharePoint deployments
