Role Description:  
 

• As part of an ICT Delivery Team, designing, developing, unit testing, implementing and maintaining systems and services;
• Designing and developing complex technical JavaScript solutions that meet business needs, design specifications, industry standards, agreed service levels, departmental policies, procedures and corporate objectives such as enterprise architecture artefacts;
• Working with departmental methodologies (e.g. project, service, release and change management) to maintain and support existing capabilities and develop new functions and capabilities;
• Developing, maintaining and unit testing system components;
• Providing technical advice and support to testers, business analysts, enterprise architects and other various stakeholders;
• Reviewing the solution architecture and technical designs of existing, new, and upcoming applications;
• Performing quality assurance checks of design, code and technical dependencies across multiple development components and streams;

 Criteria:           
 

• 5+ years' experience working with JavaScript technologies;
• Experience with designing, developing, supporting and maintaining capabilities in large complex ICT environments;
• Extensive technical expertise as a senior developer working in production environments and projects with waterfall or agile methodologies;
• Demonstrated ability to quickly gain knowledge of other open source and COTS products/technologies;
• Demonstrated analysis, design and development skills;
• Ability to work as a member of a development team and with business areas;
• Ability to work autonomously and to provide technical expertise;
• Good understanding of SDLC, release management, ICT change management and software development processes;
• Proven experience with prioritising, scheduling, monitoring and reporting;
• Excellent communication and decision making skills;
• Experience with building and maintaining effective relationships;
