 ABOUT THE ROLE! - We are searching for an experienced IT Coordinator to join our small but very busy and diverse IT team.   The core purpose of this position is to assist in the administration of ICT infrastructure and Networking to support the business and Event clients.

Responsibilities will include:

• The administration, support and troubleshooting of the Centre's Core IT Infrastructure, which includes servers, wired and wireless networks, desktops and internal applications as well as a suite of software products including our Event management system.
• Systems Administration and Configuration of Server Technologies and Virtual Environments.
• Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications.
• Monitoring and maintenance of servers, workstations, printers and networks to minimize potential issues.
• Working with customers on events to provide an accurate, professional and high level network.
• Provide highly valued and cost effective IT assistance, support and advice on the full suite of IT capabilities and technologies to internal staff and Event clients.
• Manage requests and incidents, escalating if required.
• Face to face hardware/software support.
• Undertake administration and updating of IT systems and databases.

ABOUT YOU! - The newest member of the IT team will most definitely:

• need to possess excellent communication skills, because you will need to engage with internal users and external clients on a daily basis – this is a very operational hands on role.  
• be well presented, a self-starter with excellent prioritisation skills and be able to work both autonomously and within a team. 
• need to have the ability to build relationships, work in a fast paced environment and be able to trouble shoot and problem solve.
• be able to work some nights and rotating weekend shifts.

 On a technical level, you will have:

• experience and understanding of Cisco networking and routing protocol:

  • TCP/IP Network experience and VPN, PPTP & IPSEC
  • IP Telephone and VOIP knowledge
  • Technical wireless knowledge and wireless controller management

  • Network, hardware and systems monitoring and notifications

     

    Furthermore,  it would be advantageous to have support experience in technologies including, but not limited to:

    • Windows Server, Office 365, Windows and Apple Desktop environments
    • VMWare ESXi
    • MS SQL Server, MS Exchange
    • Backup and disaster management

    • MS SQL Server, MS Exchange
