Australia’s leading Pet Insurer is undergoing an IT transformation, and we’re looking for an experienced and passionate DevOps Engineer to own our cloud and infrastructure technologies. You’ll be tasked with managing the transition from DC infrastructure to various cloud providers, as well as delivering IT and business projects and improving operating models. What you’ll do…
Be the go-to person for all things cloud-related at PetSure, including managing the growing cloud environment and influencing the infrastructure roadmap. Key tasks will include:
- Acting as a technical leader within Cloud Operations to inform and guide stakeholders towards the most effective IT outcomes;
- Helping to design and build orchestration and automation as part of the move to continuous integration;
- Performing operational management of applications and platforms;
- Working closely with key members of the IT team, the business, and external partners to design, build and support new systems;
- Engineering solutions, frameworks and the supporting platforms to provide the optimal customer experience; and
- Mentoring junior colleagues to upskill and share knowledge throughout the team
To be successful in the role you will need:
- Degree qualification in a relevant field;
- Proven experience in migrating datacentre infrastructure, both within on-premises and to cloud environments;
- Knowledge and experience in building and managing cloud solutions, particularly with Azure, but knowledge of AWS and O365 will also be required;
- Strong knowledge of DevOps tools such as Puppet, Team City, Octopus Deploy and Jenkins;
- Experience setting up and managing monitoring tools such as Application Insights, AppDynamics and PRTG;
- Experience designing and building backup and recovery solutions;
- Experience working with Vendors and Development Partners;
- Knowledge of and experience with ITIL service management concepts and practices;
- Exceptional relationship skills and a strong customer focus; and
- Curiosity and a passion for continuous improvement and all things tech
Bonus points if you have experience with the Microsoft tech stack (Dynamics NAV, .NET, SQL Server).
