An opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and experienced Applications Manager with a minimum of 7-10 years' experience to join our Applications Asia Pacific team, part of an International IT team, based in our Melbourne office.   

The Applications AsiaPac (Apps AP) team provides 3rd line support, manages applications projects, and supports the UK verticals in other projects and initiatives.  Apps AP is responsible for applications in Australian, Asian, and UK regions.

The key responsibilities of the Applications Manager include:

  • Service Ownership and Management
  • Requirements gathering, Analysis, Delivery and Support of Global Projects/Programmes
  • Business Relationship Management
  • Strategy Management
  • Workload and Program Management
  • Budget Management
  • Line Management

To be considered for this opportunity, you must possess the following qualifications / experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in a Professional Services organisation, ideally also within a legal environment
  • Whilst a degree in Computer Science or similar is preferred, other industry qualifications and extensive experience in the IT Industry is highly regarded
  • Application portfolio management
  • Project and development life-cycle expertise
  • Business Analysis and Stakeholder Management
  • Experience of large project or program management
  • Extensive experience of working with senior business users
  • Market-place knowledge and awareness of industry trends
  • Some knowledge of enterprise architecture and associated disciplines
  • Experience in some or all of the following technologies / services:
    • LexisNexis Interaction CRM
    • Oracle Peoplesoft HR
    • Corporate Intranet
    • Thomson Reuters Elite Enterprise
    • Autonomy Worksite
