A position is currently vacant in our large and highly skilled IT Department for an enthusiastic and motivated individual in the role of Front End Web Developer. Working closely with our Marketing Department, this role is responsible for developing the design and implementation of our public facing websites and play a key role in delivering improvements to our digital banking channels. 

Reporting to the Manager, .Net Solutions, you will be responsible for the analysis, solution design, build and on-going maintenance of Newcastle Permanent’s public facing websites and integration to our backend business systems. You will follow best practice development methodologies to translate designs and concepts into optimised web and mobile solutions and other interactive experiences. This role will also be trained to be a specialist in Sitecore.          

The successful applicant will have:

• A passion for front end technologies with skills across web and mobile including experience with HTML5, CSS3 & JavaScript frameworks;
• Experience with the Sitecore CMS platform;
• Extensive knowledge across the Microsoft technology stack, including experience using ASP.Net, Web services, WCF, C#, MVC, MS SQL Server; and
• Proven ability to work across the SDLC and familiarity with OOP and design patterns.

While not essential for the role, we would love to hear if you have any experience with the following:

• Experience with continuous integration and automated testing; and
• Understanding of SEO concepts.
