Cyber Forensic Investigator
Permanent Position – Immediate Start
Sydney CBD location
 
As the Forensic Investigator, you will work closely with the SOC Analysts to investigate cyber security incidents thoroughly and provide a summary report which will be used to educate the client and help prevent future attacks.
 
Bringing your security knowledge will assist in developing and improving the security maturity across the wider business. 
  
Responsibilities:

• Providing subject matter expertise on incident response and forensic analysis.
• Implementing processes, capabilities, and techniques for incident response and forensic analysis.
• Responding to security incidents escalations from Information Security teams.
• Performing triage and analysis on workstations, servers, mobile devices, cloud platforms, and network infrastructure.
• Identification of malware using memory analysis, live forensics, and hard drive forensics.
• Performing malware analysis through peer collaboration, sandboxed analysis, and reverse engineering.
• Contributing to active threat hunting programs and security monitoring use cases.
• Identifying and documenting lessons learned from incidents, participating in remediation requirements definition.

 
Essential Skills:

• 3+ years’ experience across Cyber Security incident / detection response
• Demonstrable experience in communication and presentation skills
• Prior Systems Administration experience preferred
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrable experience of Cyber threat analysis and ability to defend networks
• In depth knowledge of a broad spectrum of security technologies, incorporating network, operating system and application security
