Our client, a leader in their industry, has an exciting opportunity for an IT Business Analyst to join their Melbourne based team on an initial 3 month contract.
 
This is a hands on role, working in a busy project environment. You will apply your in-depth analytical skills across AS IS and TO BE processes, providing system testing, translating requirements into functional specification and use documentation to ensure a successful delivery focus.
 
Skills and experience required:

• 5+ years relevant business analyst experience across IT and general projects
• Experienced in the design, implementation and support of retail ERP solutions
• Deep understanding of retail industry
• Proven business analytical capability
• Solid understanding of fast paced IT complex environments
• High level experience with projects involving multiple business areas - including Supply Chain/Logistics
• Experienced across multiple applications
• Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
• Experienced in coordinating UAT and data extraction 
• Senior Stakeholder management experience
• Vendor Management experience
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills

 
Key activities:

• Work across end to end Business Analyst role
• Prepare AS IS and TO BE process documentation
• Interface with IT and drive changes across the business
• Map existing end-to-end business processes
• Analyse detailed requirements from business areas and translate into relevant specification
• Provide and maintain thorough documentation 
• Assess business process gaps and impacts of changes
• Articulate business requirements to the project team, including the provision of quality documentation and diagrams as appropriate
• Support the project team during design and build phases, to ensure that designs are aligned with the end-to-end business process design
• Work with multiple stakeholders and internal teams
• Provide clear and precise business and technical documentation
• Follow processes through to integration to BAU
