Newcastle City Council has an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Business Analyst to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Working directly with project managers, technical resources and business stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes for IT projects, you will utilise your business analysis skills to undertake a range of tasks. In this busy role, the IT Business Analyst will undertake complex problem solving and liaise with technical specialists where required. You will be able to leverage off your experience to provide feasible solutions and provide accurate reports on work status to your project manager on a regular basis.
Your experience in a similar role will also assist you to conduct feasibility research and develop business cases for initiatives identified across the organisation that fall under the IT portfolio
To be successful in this job you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications or demonstrable experience in Information Technology or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience working as a Business Analyst on multiple IT Projects.
- Successful track record in re-engineering business processes and delivering tangible business benefits.
- Sound understanding of project management principles and their application in an IT Project environment.
- The ability to complete assigned tasks on-time and to a high level of quality, with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills at all levels of an organisation.
- Demonstrated motivation to deliver and commitment to customer service.
- Ability to multi-task and work on numerous projects at one time.
