This role is to provide technical support to all projects within the organisation, including day to day oversight that technical quality is being ensured within every project. This position will provide ongoing support and capacity development to technical staff members. This position will also play an active role in the strategic and technical development and expansion of the Company’s programme.

 

Performance indicators

Daily management and support to the Technical team

Your key responsibility is to ensure that all activities are managed efficiently by coordinating, monitoring and recording all activities within the technical team accurately and in a timely manner. 

Building high quality platforms and features.

Ensure that you provide functional and usability guidance to the LMS/App Dev teams on building high quality platforms and features. Ensure all such features are tested and thorough audit is conducted before delivering. Ensure that you work with Production Manager in the co-ordination of the LMS/App team.

Client management

Ensure that you meet up with clients to provide technical expertise when discussing training needs and LMS platform abilities. Ensure that you provide efficient technical support via phone.

Project Management

Ensure that all projects undertaken should meet prescribed deadlines. Ensure that you work with Production Manager to learn better ways of managing team and project management methodology.

Providing scoping

Ensure that you provide effective scoping of technical features and estimate timeframes efficiently.

Sales activities

Ensure that you regularly attend sales meetings when technical expertise is required. You will provide full assistance in creation of sales-related technical documentation - handover items on time.

New opportunity

You will be required to explore new product development opportunities. Ensure that you are regularly conducting R&D activities to recognize potential opportunities. You must report all such activities with regards to R&D monthly with results.

Prepare documentation

Ensure that you prepare all reports and compile all documentation (Functional Specifications, Business Requirements) efficiently with 100% accuracy and error free.

Communication

A large portion of the role is communication. Excellent communication is key to the success of this role.
 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership to a team of developers to build functionality that meets industry best practices and high usability.
  • Engage in daily stand up meetings to feedback production milestones to Production Manager.
  • Provide quality control on developed products and features.
  • Meeting with clients to provide a technical expertise when discussing functionality needs and platform abilities. 
  • Develop training material on delivered functionality and conduct client training.
  • Provide technical support for platform issues and client questions, and to manage the throughput of support resolutions to meet service level agreements.
  • Suggest improvements to the processes of development, review and delivery. Chair monthly tech symposium leading the team to discuss time/product efficiencies and generating product-related ideas/concepts for commercialization.
  • Any other actions deemed reasonable and necessary by management.
  • Working with both internal and external stakeholders and be adept at keeping all projects moving and efficiently feeding required responses and information to these stakeholders.
  • Support and help desk forms a part of this role.

 

Core Experience / Requirements

  • 1-3 years’ experience in the leading technical solutions of websites or similar projects.
  • Experience in best practices for code structure, testing and performance.
  • Strong analytical skills in monitoring and evaluating project quality.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both verbal and written communication; and with both project colleagues and clients. 
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills in meeting project deadlines, managing and prioritising tasks and attending client meetings as the company’s technical representative.
  • Experience in cloud server management and maintenance highly desirable.
  • Experience in local server management and networking highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and demonstrate an enthusiastic, proactive and hard working ethic.
  • Good presentation.
