Excelian Luxoft is a global IT Consultancy, with operations spread around offices around the world. We deliver IT projects across a range of industries including Automotive (the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW i3 use our software for their dashboards) we also work across Manufacturing, Energy and Media.  However, in Australia we only operate within the Financial Services industry.

Our business is split into two practices, Vendor Solutions and Digital Consulting, both focused on the investment part of a bank. Our Vendor Solutions part of the business acts as an Integration partner that provides a full range of services supporting 3 major trading application vendors:  Murex, Calypso and OpenLink. Our Technology Consulting side of the business works on a range of solutions around Digital Transformation, UI/UX, Cloud, DevOps and includes technology specialisms such as React, Angular, Java, C#, C++. 

The academy will provide the opportunity for talented, technically minded individuals to train as consultants working in the finance sector on the Murex platform. You would be based in our Sydney office and the training would take place in our Singapore headquarters.  Successful candidates will have the chance to learn about Murex from subject matter experts, over the course of four weeks.

Murex is the leading provider of cross-asset trading, risk management and processing solutions which are adopted by the world’s largest investment banks and financial institutions. Murex’s capital markets expertise has been continuously acknowledged by both leading industry analysts and top financial institutions. Through the academy, you’ll develop a strong base of technical and professional skills and gain invaluable knowledge from leaders in the industry.

The training modules covered in the academy include:

• Consultancy (time management, communication & presentation skills) 
• Financial Markets (The financial marketplace, Capital Markets, Money Markets, FX Markets & Commodities) 
• Unix/Linux/SQL Fundamentals 
• Murex Core Modules (Global Operating Model, Front Office Modules) 

We are seeking individuals with the following skills:

• A good degree or post graduate qualification in a Numerate/IT/Computer Science/ Electronic or other Engineering subject
• Great time management and can work to tight deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
• Technically minded with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Some knowledge of financial market vendor systems such as Calypso, Murex, or Kondor (advantageous not essential).
• Working knowledge of SQL, UNIX/Linux, Java, C#, React, Angular (beneficial not essential).
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Flexible and able to travel to Singapore.

Once completing the academy, you’ll return to the Sydney office where you’ll undertake an ongoing role, shadowing our consultants across a variety of diverse projects.  This will continue for a period of 6-12 months, after which you will be given your own projects to work on within one of our many clients.
