You will be the voice of the customer, and ensure that our Infrastructure services are secure, automated, simplified, and innovative. The role sits within the Automation practice of our Corporate Operations Group, COG Technology Infrastructure.

Our team has accountability and ownership of firewall management and automation. Therefore, you will help us determine and drive the vision and roadmap for the product – in collaboration with various stakeholders and the wider team.

In addition, the team also manages the product backlog for the scrum team. This includes identifying, refining and prioritising items, ensuring the value of the work the feature team delivers, and ensuring that the backlog is visible, transparent, and clear.

Your prior experience with Iteration planning and prioritisation ensuring a constant flow of “Ready” user stories for sprints is important, along with your skills in assisting with writing and developing acceptance criteria, and accepting stories.

You will participate in team reviews (demos) and retrospectives, while also assisting in transitioning to a new operational model for fully automated state and alignment with broader infrastructure services and capabilities.

You are a senior IT leader and preferably an experienced Product Owner who is passionate about agile delivery and technology innovation. You like to feel a sense of ownership in the product and solutions you deliver and derive satisfaction from driving strong outcomes for customers.  You required technical skills for this role are:

• strong technical background in application and software delivery and/or network technologies
• proven experience in technical team leadership and delivery
• strong stakeholder and relationship management skills
• strong problem solving and analytical skills, with good attention to detail
• ability to think strategically and articulate a clear vision
• excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to influence and negotiate with diverse stakeholders.

Additional skills that you might bring are: 

• agile project experience as a product owner
• strong understanding of Infrastructure services, including Server OS, Database, Networks, Storage and Data Protection technologies
• strong understanding of compliance and regulation within the banking industry
• strong planning and organizational skills
• experience with vendor management.
