Our client, a large government organisation, is seeking a Business Analyst to join the team and contribute services on a new state-wide ICT solution implementation. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst on large, complex ICT systems, ideally within a government organisation/agency.
This is a fixed-term contract based in Brisbane CBD fringe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate business stakeholder or internal ICT workshops for requirements gathering and/or other business analysis activities as required.
- Gather and document business and functional requirements to ensure effective business analysis is provided.
- Elicit and document business rules and complete business process mapping where required.
- Engage the business stakeholders and users on key business opportunities and development of applicable business cases and/or requirements.
- Work with business units, project managers and across project teams responsible for IT delivery and services.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Proven ability to gather and document business and functional requirements that provide a solid foundation for the design and implementation of appropriate solutions.
- Proven ability in the elicitation of business rules and business process mapping.
- Demonstrated knowledge of business analyst procedures and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the development and implementation of business and functional requirements with a team effectively and collaboratively.
- Well-developed communication and change management skills, including the ability to analyse business process models, business requirements, and project reports and provide accurate documentation, clear advice and accurate data as required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
