- Prepare for User acceptance testing for a brand new system
A large, established government organisation is seeking a Junior System Tester to assist with the preparation for User Acceptance Testing of a brand new system being implemented into the business. You will apply your testing skills to develop and execute test cases and scenarios under the direction and guidance Senior System Testers.
This is an initial 3 month contract opportunity, with the possibility of an extension, located in Brisbane CBD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with Senior System Testers regarding requirements for testing.
- Assist with estimation for test development and execution.
- Reviewing the Business Requirement Specification to ensure business/user needs are met.
- Identifying and requesting test data required for test scenarios.
- Ensuring traceability between test basis and test scenarios as required.
- Preparing test data for execution.
- Raising defects/issues and where possible identifying the cause of the defect.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders for testing, including preparation, execution, defect/issue identification.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Knowledge of one or more system test methodologies.
- Knowledge of one or more test tools, preferably including test automation tools.
- Knowledge of one or more defect management tools with preference to Quality Centre/ HP ALM
- Running tests and determining outcomes.
- Documenting testing cases, scenarios and outcomes.
- Experience in participation in the UAT phase of testing activity
- A relevant qualification is highly regarded
