Your new role:

Reporting to the General Manager - Geosolutions, you will combine your consulting skills with GIS technology, manage the direction and development of a high performing Geosolutions team, deliver projects on time and on-budget and deliver on organisational, operational and financial KPI’s.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading a team of geospatial consultants delivering spatial business systems
• Managing projects to suit client needs and contract requirements, whilst ensuring maximum profit and business growth
• Business and functional software requirement analysis
• Providing client advise and consultation
• Preparing specifications for application requirements
• Participating in discussions in regards to application development and the software development lifecycle
• Maintaining existing applications and providing customer support
• Delivering upon organisational and financial KPI's

  
What you’ll offer us:

Apart from being a self-starter and a team player you’ll also showcase the usual well-developed verbal and written communication skills, good time management, attention to detail, problem solving and an ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

You’ll also demonstrate:

• Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in Computing Science, Software Engineering or Geomatics Sciences (Database related and/or GIS or Spatial related additional training will be highly regarded)
• 3-5 years’ experience in managing a team of Geospatial consultants
• Demonstrated experience in enterprise IT environments, in particular Windows Server and Microsoft IIS
• Demonstrated understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Previous experience in at least one of the following areas - GIS/Geospatial software, SaaS and Cloud Services
• Demonstrated experience with at least one of the following ESRI technologies: ArcGIS Server, Desktop, Portal, and AGOL or similar
• Demonstrated experience with SQL, preferably Microsoft SQL Server and SQL spatial
• A well-developed understanding of Web technologies
• Exposure to VMWare management and configuration
• The skills required to conduct Geospatial training to customers
• Commercial acumen
• Project management experience
• A willingness to travel interstate and to New Zealand
