Your new role:

Reporting to the General Manager - Geosolutions, you will support the AAM sales team with the analysis, design and implementation of geospatial solutions including web and mobile applications.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the Sales team with technical input into bid preparation (including RFPs, RFQs, RFIs) ensuring AAM’s solution meets functional requirements
  • Translating requirements into architecture and design specifications for prospective customers
  • Providing technical and product expertise to the sales team, prospective customers, and partners during the sales process
  • Participating in the scoping and executing of client technical demonstrations
  • Developing prototypes of solutions against industry or specific customer requirements
  • Representing AAM solutions at webinars, seminars, exhibitions, tradeshows, partner and user events through the preparation and presentation of creative technical demonstrations to showcase our technology and services
  
What you’ll offer us:

Apart from being a self-starter and a team player you’ll also showcase the usual well-developed verbal and written communication skills, good time management, attention to detail, problem solving and an ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

You’ll also demonstrate:
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in computer science, software engineering or geomatics
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role within a Geospatial organisation
  • Previous experience in at least one of the following areas - GIS/Geospatial software, SaaS and Cloud Services
  • Demonstrated experience with at least one of the following ESRI technologies: ArcGIS Server, Desktop, Portal, and AGOL or similar
  • Demonstrated solution selling experience in a B2B environment
  • Strong commercial acumen including negotiation and closing skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present information to various audiences
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to relate to all levels within an organisation, including operational users and technical groups
  • Effective relationship building skills, and a demonstrated consultative approach when working with clients
  • Proven ability to diagnose a business problem and seek creative and non-standard solutions
  • A willingness to travel interstate and to New Zealand
