Benelec Pty Ltd is currently seeking a highly motivated and reliable radio installer on a permanent basis to work in our service and manufacturing of radio communication antennas and components situated at our Botany (NSW) complex.
This position will suit a person who is good with their hands, versatile, bright, has a mechanical aptitude, can work with minimal supervision, is eager to learn and has a positive work ethic.
Duties will include:
- Installing Radios in Vehicles and vessels
- Installing Radio Communication Racks at Base stations
- Installing Antennas on Communication Towers, tower rigging
- Installing Antennas on Vehicles, Vessels and at Base stations
- Testing equipment and installation using digital tools
- Configuring and troubleshooting IP networks/links
- Mechanical and electronics assembly work in a production environment
- Hand soldering
- Packaging finished products
- Metal Work in a production environment
- Use of Hand tools and hand power tools
- Use of other repetition engineering Machinery such as drills, presses, metal finishing and electropolishing
Soldering and/or Welding skills would be an advantage. Must be prepared to work at heights after suitable training for installing, testing and rigging antenna equipment on Communication Towers. Rigging Certificate holder would be desirable.
Previous experience in installation work, mechanical or electronics manufacturing would be a significant advantage but not essential as on the job training will be provided. Rotational availability being a part of the Emergency Response Team and availability to travel away from home, from time to time is required.
Physical fitness and fluency in English are required.
Australian citizenship is an ESSENTIAL pre-requisite as AGSVA (Australian Government Security Vetting Agencies) Baseline Clearance is required for the position.
