We are looking for an experienced SAP practitioner with at least 4+ years of experience in deploying SAP solutions in the Government Sector. This person would be a SAP specialist providing technology consulting and implementation services to leading Federal Government clients in Canberra, however, this role would be part of the National SAP practice and therefore be also called upon to work on interstate engagements. We are looking for candidates who, whilst having one specialist area of expertise, also have a broader understanding or experience of multiple SAP domains. The applicant must be an Australian Citizen and be able to acquire a Security Clearance.

The key qualifications that the application must possess:

  • Australian Citizen. A security clearance (while desirable) is not essential. However, the candidate must be able to acquire one via the organisation;
  • SAP Technical skills. We are looking for a generalist with one area of speciality (preferably certified) but a broad exposure to:
    • SAP ECC 6.0 functional domains such as Finance, Procurement, Sales & Distribution, CRM
    • Technology solutions such as Integration (PI/PO), Business Rules Framework (BRF+) and Hybris
    • Industry modules for Public Sector
    • Experience in S/4HANA would be plus but not essential
  • SAP Implementation Experience. Experience as a Stream Lead and/or Project Manager in at least two major system implementations;
  • Consulting experience. The ideal candidate would have experience of working in a consulting organisation and would have been responsible for leading and managing teams as well as working with senior client stakeholders;
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or business administration;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills required.

Other qualifications that are desirable are:

  • Experience in IT Service Management. A certification in ITSM along with relevant experience of working or consulting in an IT service management setup would be beneficial;
  • SAP Methodology Certification: Certification in ACTIVATE or ASAP would be preferable. At the very least some form of IT delivery certification either PRINCE 2 or PMP would be required;
  • Understanding of Agile delivery methodology would also be desirable;
  • Experience of working as a Business Analyst in analysing business requirements, processes for fitment to SAP solutions.
