Role : Senior Progress DBA - L3
Location: Melbourne
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
JD:
- Sound experience in Application Software Development which includes Analysis, Coding and Testing using PROGRESS V8.3 ,V 9.1D, V10.2B, V11.3.
- Worked on physical aspects of database administration such as DBMS installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, backups, restore, refresh.
- Worked for both Development and Maintenance of QAD projects
- Successfully managed onsite-offshore model projects.
- Worked in Installation & configuration for Qxtend Projects.
- Knowledge on QAD EE Finance for AP and AR Cycle.

Progress DBA
Ensure Progress and MFG/PRO databases and NETUI systems operate efficiently and securely.
- Manage internal databases, from planning and testing stages through implementation and support.
- Providing Progress DBA assistance to various clients including system down issue and handling performance issues. Install and manage MFG/PRO. Create, backup recovery and performance tuning of Progress database. Shell scripting for housekeeping and DB Admin activities.

~Installation:
Linux/AIX/HP/Windows etc.
- QAD/MFGPRO: Having experienced to install all version of QAD products from eB, eB2, QAD Standard Edition
- (SE) and QAD Enterprise Edition (EE). This includes installation.

~QDT Installation:
- Prior to QAD 2015 EE version, QDT used to install the product. Deep knowledge of installation of product through QDT.

~YAB Installation:
- QAD 2016 EE version comes through YAB (Your Application Builder

Preferred or Value add -
- Oracle Certified – OCP
- Open Edge 10.x/Progress 9.x/ Progress 8.x
- QAD EE/SE Installation & Configuration
- Qxtend with Salesforce Integration,
- UNIX, Suse Linux, Red Hat Linux 6.
