We are looking for Technical Consultant to join our ever-growing Service Operations Team.  This is a great opportunity for a consultant with 3-5 years experience to broaden their current skills and experience in a collaborative team with a passion for knowledge sharing.

About the role

As a Network/Security consultant, you will deliver high quality support services to VMtech's Managed Services clients, through exceptional communication skills and service excellence. You will have a strong technical background, superb client management skills and a passion for excellence. The role will consist of, but not limited to, the following:

  • Responsible for the support of VMtech's Managed Service's clients through support triage, real time monitoring, handling incident tickets & proactively managing resolution SLA's.
  • Provide proactive consultancy, root cause analysis and regular maintenance activities across a varied range of technologies working closely with vendors including Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Imperva and KEMP technologies
  • Solve complex, high-impact challenges faced by our customers in a timely and efficient manner
  • Interact closely with our clients, responding, diagnosing and troubleshooting problems whilst communicating professionally
  • Provide accurate assessment, prioritisation and escalation of incidents and service requests
  • Ensure accuracy of detail within support tickets
  • Continually develop skills and experience aligned with VMtech's services

This role will suit candidates who can demonstrate extensive experience in the majority of VMtech's core technologies such as:

  • Palo Alto Networks
  • Next Generation Firewalls
  • Imperva Web Application Firewall
  • Cisco for WAN, LAN and Datacentre
  • Networking and Unified ComputeCloud and hybrid solutions and 'As a Service' offerings
  • Wireless Technologies
  • Experience with network monitoring tools.
  • Routing and switching experience
  • CISCO and Palo Alto Networks certifications (desirable)
  • Full understanding of cloud technologies
  • Suitable experience dealing with multiple ISPs.Experience in configuration and troubleshooting WAN network protocols.
