Butterfly is an award-winning digital agency specialising in creating effective websites with custom design and development paired with digital strategy.

Working with an all-in-house team, you will have direct access to all knowledge in the business — we value skill-sharing and cross-pollination between digital production, development, quality assurance, account services and design. We have a vibrant and creative team, and have great offices on Lonsdale St in the Melbourne CBD.

We're looking for a talented person who brings fun, energy and creativity to their work and our office environment. Working on digital projects such as websites and custom web applications you will be responsible for working with the client and project team to scope, define, plan, manage and deliver the release of the project or product. This is a full-time role based at our offices and presents a great opportunity to work with a fast-growing Melbourne digital agency.

We're looking for a Senior Digital Producer who can hit the ground running, coordinating multiple stakeholders of all types, scoping work and running the show.

Responsibilities:

• Run workshops to determine project goals and requirements with clients and/or project stakeholders

• Determine the requirements and scope of work for projects

• Determine acceptance criteria for functional and non-functional requirements

• Document use cases and user stories

• Document relevant business processes/rules

• Plan projects including team allocation, milestones and timelines

• Take design briefs and set the direction for UI and UX design

• Provide strategic advice on project direction and requirements

• Drive activities and workshops that uncover customer problems and deliver insights

• Manage both fixed price and time and materials projects including communication, budgets, resourcing, deadlines and quality

• Manage design, development, quality assurance, business analysis, solution architecture and devops resources on the project

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Maintain project information in a charter document in conjunction with JIRA and Confluence

• Manage and mitigate project risks

• Manage change requests and determine their impact

• Manage the release of projects to clients and to the public

• Ensure that Butterfly delivers on everything sold, and exceeds client expectations

• Run daily stand-ups with project teams to monitor progress

• Run sprint planning/backlog grooming sessions with project teams

• Monitor project delivery to maintain continuous knowledge of project status and preemptively deal with problems

• Monitor and report on the profitability of projects

• Quality control work before it gets shown to clients

• Ensure constant and proactive communication with clients so that they feel well looked after and manage their expectations

• Resolve any problems and manage expectations of the project or client

• Setup and attend showcase meetings and provide progress updates to clients

• Work collaboratively with all Butterfly teams

• Run project reviews and regular retrospectives to drive process improvements

Required Skills and Experience:

• At least 3 years in a dedicated Digital Production role within a digital agency

• At least 7 years in digital roles or similarly appropriate positions

• A deep understanding of Agile Project Management processes and methodologies including team management, budget allocation, monitoring, timeline development and scope management

• Solid understanding of business analysis, user experience and stakeholder research methods

• Can carry out requirements gathering for functional and non-functional requirements

• Proficient in change management and scope control

• Able to to create high quality project documentation including acceptance criteria for tasks and features

• Proven experience managing complex digital projects with mid-size project teams

• Experienced in JIRA, Confluence, Atlassian and Google products

• Proven experience facilitating client/stakeholder workshops

• Exceptional communication skills

• Ability to work on the fly to modify your solutions as new information comes to hand

• Experience working in an agile environment

• Analytical mind with a business acumen

• Enjoy working collaboratively with other producers, developers, designers, business analysts, quality assurance team members

Nice to haves:

• Training in agile project management

• Training in business analysis or user experience

• Experience with CMS systems such as Joomla!, Wagtail or Wordpress

• Experience with CRM solutions such as Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce

• Experience wireframing and building interactive prototypes

• Familiarity with WCAG guidelines

• Ability to bring BA/UX/CX or some other bonus skills to our team
