We currently have an opportunity for a Midrange Systems Specialist to join our Technology Solutions & Services team based in Adelaide or Bendigo. The Midrange Systems Specialist position is responsible for managing the existing Midrange platform, including Windows and Linux server platforms, the VMware vSphere, Microsoft Exchange 2010, Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop and Netscaler environments, as well as preparing new designs and system implementations.
Position Overview:
Technology Solutions & Services is a high performance team who aims to understand the business and work in partnership to provide technology solutions to connect with the customer.
The major focus of the IT Midrange Services team is to deliver information technology systems and services based on Midrange server architecture to ensure Bendigo and Adelaide Bank meet its business objectives.
The Midrange Systems Specialist is responsible for managing the banks existing Midrange environment, preparing technical specifications and implementing new designs.
Main Activities
- Deployment, configuration and maintenance of VMware vSphere, Microsoft Windows 2003/2008/2012 and RHEL servers.
- Installation, configuration and support of Midrange infrastructure applications including VMWare vSphere, Microsoft Active Directory, ADFS, Microsoft Exchange 2010 and Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop systems.
- Provide Midrange support for the delivery of infrastructure related and business driven projects within the Bank's Enterprise Change process
- Preparing specifications, technical documentation and assisting in the delivery of infrastructure projects.
Key Competencies Required
- Extensive experience with the Windows server operating system including Windows 2008 and 2012
- Extensive experience with VMWare vSphere virtual infrastructure
Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange 2010 technologies and Microsoft clustering Experience with Red Hat Linux and server hardware - Advanced troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- ITIL v3 certified and experience working with standard ITIL service processes
- Ability to work in a virtual team environment with a capacity to prioritise and manage tasks and issues effectively
- Ability to communicate at all levels, both written and verbal
- A strong customer service focus
