About the Role and what you can expect

Employed by Laureate Education Services Australia Pty Ltd to support the operational functions of TUA and/or TC, the successful applicant will be working at a fun, dynamic campus that offers a range of courses that give students the practical skills in a creative space with students from a diverse social, cultural, and educational background. This role is part of an integrated learning support team; Learning Technology Advisors are responsible for providing advice, guidance and support for the users of Laureate Australia and New Zealand's suite of learning technologies to academic staff and both online and on campus students within Blackboard Learn and supported programs.

Working closely with the Library & Learning Services team, Learning Technology Advisors are the point of contact for students and academic staff via phone, email and face to face. Responsibilities include liaising with the Product Innovation Hub on specific learning technology training needs, guiding and supporting all users of
the learning portal both on campus and at a national level. The position has a strong customer service focus with all users of Blackboard Learn, in addition to the ongoing maintenance and updates of our systems. The ideal candidate will have a wide range of learning technology knowledge and skills including: Blackboard Learn, Collaborate, Analytics, Turnitin, Mobile learn, Salesforce integration pieces for enrolment and grades, Kaltura (or relevant video solution), Audio Solution, Survey Solution, and other associated learning technology platforms as required.

You will have the benefit of working with a small team at a local level, but with 6 teams across Australia, you will also play a key role in a larger team, and contribute to the Learning Support strategy nationally.

  • Adobe Creative Cloud;
  • and other associated learning technology platforms as required.
Key selection criteria-
  • Demonstrated experience in working with learning management systems and association applications, in particular Blackboard Learn
  • Demonstrated experience in providing training and support with a customer focused approach
  • Demonstrated experience working in an educational context (facilitator, educational administrator)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and ability to relate to other people and to work cooperatively as a member of a team
  • High level of computer/keyboard skills, proven work record of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated capacity to quickly learn and adapt to new technology tools and platforms
  • Data management and data entry and reporting capability
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the development and delivery of student success
