We are seeking a full time Business Intelligence Specialist for an 18 month fixed term contract for our Sydney team. This role will report into the Head of Enterprise Information Management and will join a team who is responsible to provide reliable and timely information and data to the Avant business.
This is a technical role tasked to design and implement data solutions with Microsoft SQL Server and other Business Intelligence tools as per the Avant’s standards and guidelines.
The key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop and implement data warehouse and data mart solutions to meet the requirements of business stakeholders;
- Develop and implement data and SSIS ETL solutions in Microsoft SQL server and related technologies;
- Build strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand business requirements;
- Translate business requirements into data models and other design artefacts;
- Ensure data quality in Enterprise Information Management systems;
- Contribute to Business Intelligence & Analytics Community of Practice
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous demonstrated experience in a business intelligence role within a corporate environment
- Advanced understanding of Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS and ETL
- Previous experience in BI and analytics tools such as Cognos and Qlik Sense desirable
- Strong problem solving, innovative thinking and drive to succeed
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a Computing Science degree, or similar
