This Market leader in the wealth management and financial services space have a requirement for a an experience Security Analyst for a medium sized IT department.
As a Senior security Analyst you will be required to work pro- actively with business and IT stakeholders and identify long-term, medium and short term needs for specific security requirements.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Capture and validate information security and systems requirements across time periods.
- Define information, application, systems and technology requirements and specifications for the security requirements.
- Recommend design and capability improvements as needed.
- Ensure adherence to necessary design and systems security standards.
- Ensure recommended solutions are likely to meet quality assurance, risk management and process improvement criteria.
- Identify potential risks and work with the Risk Manager to resolve.
Research and Analysis
- Undertake relevant research related to IT security, business continuity and disaster recovery needs and market capabilities.
- Be familiar with the IT security, business continuity and disaster recovery services relevant to and recommend changes as required.
- Identify approaches that leverage resources and provide economies of scale.
Essential Experience
- Extensive experience as a professional working in the field of IT security, business continuity or disaster recovery services, including with outsourced service providers.
- Extensive knowledge of the security analysis and solution design techniques
- Successful experience in security analysis working in a well-developed team environment.
- Accustomed to extensive iteration with business and IT executives and managers
- Comprehensive working knowledge and understanding of the technology and systems environment of service providers, vendors and third party applications
- Proven experience in working in complex environments with a mix of internal and externally developed and supported systems
- Demonstrated experience with business and IT processes and workflow
- Good understanding of business and IT process management concepts and methodologies
- Ability to articulate technical issues to non-technical audiences
Desirable Experience
- Accountability for Security Analysis services in a mid-sized organisation, in a multiplatform environment.
- Experience in agile security analysis and solution design and development processes.
- Strong evidence of professional commitment
