About the role:

The person in this role will be ultimately responsible for supporting the Cloud Sales Specialist in the overall solution, translation of customer requirements to overall solution, scoping and pre sales thought leadership specifically related to the Business Services Practice. You will be required to understand customer business problems and challenges, highlighting opportunities for improvements, new technology, enhancements and/or the opportunity to up/cross sell other Cloud DC products and Services. This is a customer facing role and will provide customers with thought leadership with regards to SharePoint, Office 365 Productivity and Azure Cloud Services such as PowerBI & Analytics.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend and present at customer meetings individually and/or alongside the Sales Specialist and Optus Account Manager.
  • Determine and translate customer Functional/non-functional requirements with regards to their specific outcomes, and develop the necessary proposals and statements of work
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders regarding the planning and effort estimates needed to deliver the solutions requested by the customer, as well as review estimates provided by other technical leads to ensure they are comprehensive and accurate
  • Liaise and interact with the customer, internal stakeholders and project delivery teams at all levels
  • Provide Thought Leadership, Technical oversight and recommendations for the customer on how to best to meet their desired outcomes
  • Solution Governance and leadership to ensure quality and the meeting of deadlines.
  • Understanding of Cloud, Office 365, SharePoint Architecture and implementation/migration timeframes, as the case requires
  • Ability to work as one team with the wider sales team, practice and business partners and provide mentoring and technical leadership for the rest of the team members as needed

Experience required:

  • Ability to conceptualise ideas and visions, think creatively and quickly grasp and understand the customers’ business needs, challenges and strategic directions
  • Ability to guide and influence the customer stake holders and technical staff to define customer outcomes
  • Mentor staff members and lead to improved internal collaboration in order to align our solutions to deliver greater benefits to our clients as well as internally
  • 1-2 years of proven pre-sales engagements and technical leadership and mentoring
  • Technical understanding of Microsoft technologies, specifically SharePoint, Office 365, PowerBI and Analytics, cloud technology
  • Technical understanding with Microsoft’s Online platforms and software, specifically Azure Platform as a Service offerings and Microsoft Office 365 (SharePoint Online, Yammer, Delve, etc.)
  • Technical understanding of Web Technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular JS, TypeScript and related technologies
