Job tasks and responsibilities
About the role;
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Java Support engineer to provide L3 production support.
In this position you will be responsible for providing technical support across functional teams by creating incident, problem and change tickets in Jira as well as troubleshooting incidents by working with developers and other business stakeholders. You will be working in a large development team and will be responsible for end-to-end support and some development including on occasion development, deployment and unit testing as well as suggesting application improvements to improve stability that can include architecture, design & implementation
Skills and experience
Essential selection criteria;
As a Senior member of the development and support team it is expected you will have more than 8 years of industry experience within enterprise size environment, preferably within the Professional Services sector.

- Australian citizen
- 6+ years experience in IT experience within enterprise size environment, preferably within the Professional Services sector
- Strong support skills, interpersonal skills and very strong communication skills
- In depth working knowledge of the Java Platform & web applications
- Detailed knowledge of Spring & Hibernate
- Hands on experience with Web Services, XML, and Service Oriented Architecture
- Experience with Messaging, XML, SOAP, JSON, RESTful
- J2EE experience and knowledge in various deployment strategies
- SQL programming skills
- Experience with build tools such as Maven
- Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins
